— DOG REQUIREMENTS —

All guests must pass a free trial play date & temperament test before receiving any type of care. Meet & Greets are by appointment only.

💫  Applicants must meet the following criteria to pass their Meet & Greet: 

• Spayed or Neutered if 12 mo. or Older (Female puppies cannot attend during their heat cycle, which can last up to 4 weeks.)
• Fully Housebroken & at least 6 months old
• Up To Date on Rabies, Distemper & Bordetella Vaccinations
• Canine Influenza vaccine is highly recommended, but not required
• Flea/Tick Free & on Prescription Flea/Tick Prevention
• No Open Wounds or Stitches & in Good Overall Health
• Wearing Quick Release (pinch to open) Collar & ID Tag only. No other type of collar attachments whatsoever permitted. No coats, harnesses, sweaters, or any type of dog garments allowed. 
• Dog & People Friendly
• Able to Pass Evaluation/Temperament Test

💫  Please review the following company policies & safety regulations prior to your pup’s first stay at LHDC:

• No Harnesses or Flea Collars of any kind may be worn due to safety hazards. (This includes pedometers or any collar attachment whatsoever, besides a tag.) Please do NOT send dogs in harnesses or flea collars! If your dog arrives in a flea collar or any type of collar attachment besides an ID tag, it will be removed & returned at check out.
• Only Quick Release (pinch to open) Collars are permitted. All dogs must be wearing one with an ID tag only. No coats, harnesses, or clothing of any kind may be worn. 
• Dogs Must Arrive Leashed so they can be checked in & out safely. No exceptions.
• All Belongings Must be labeled with dog’s name. This includes leashes, food & meds.
•  Food Must Be individually portioned in ziplock bags for each meal. Please do not send large bags or containers of food. We do not have the storage space for this.
• Pet Medications Must be labeled with dog’s name & accompanied with clear, concise instructions.
• Overnight Guests Need their usual food sent with them. It’s crucial for dogs to remain on their normal diet to prevent stomach upset & digestive issues.
• Day Care Only Guests will not be given meals, so please do not send food for them. Please feed dogs at home before and after day care. (There are a couple exceptions to this.)
• For Overnight Stays, the only items required to be packed are their normal food & any necessary medication. Please do not send food dishes. We have a large variety of them on site, including slow feeders.
• Any Dog Beds sent must be machine washable! We are not responsible for any bedding or toys that get chewed on or otherwise destroyed by our furry friends.
• Female Puppies Cannot attend during their heat cycle, which can last up to 6 weeks.
• Overnight Guests checking out after 10 a.m. on pick up day will be charged for day care.
• On Major Holidays & summer weekends, we do not accept reservations for day care. We accommodate only overnight requests during this busy time, as spots are limited.
• Discounted Packages are non-refundable, but in most cases are transferrable to another approved dog.
• Any client may be dismissed at any time at our discretion.
• All payments are required at drop off.
